Goal Cats Sterilized 2025

It’s been a lot of hard work but it’s finally here! Good Cat Network is proud to announce our very own, monthly no-cost spay and neuter clinic called Have A Nice Spay

Because collaboration with other non-profits proved to make our transfer program, Operation Aloha Cat, a huge success, Good Cat Network has also partnered with local non-profits for its Have A Nice Spay program.

Good Cat Network as well as program partners The Rusty MauiCat Collective and Kitty Charm Farm organize trapping teams who are trained to assist those in the community who are financially unable to address their growing backyard and colony cat populations.

HVHQSN (high-volume, high-quality spay and neuter) veterinarians are flown in, sometimes from out of state, to perform the surgeries at the clinics. A highly skilled support staff and volunteers lead by Clinic Manager Rachel Zawacki round out the high-performing, passionate team for Have A Nice Spay.

In addition to sterilization, all cats receive microchip, FVRCP vaccinations and an ear-tip to indicate the alteration. The Have A Nice Spay clinic appointments will be available through partner organizations only for its first two clinics (April and May) and then will have appointments open to the general public starting in June through a portal on this page.

Have A Nice Spay will run through 2025 offering monthly clinics with a goal of sterilizing 1275 cats.

Good Cat Network was awarded a $100,000 grant from The JR Peterson Foundation, $10,000 grant from Neighborhood Cats, $10,000 from local supporters Gary Thompson and Sara Patton, a donated anesthesia machine from Maui Humane Society, and surgical tools from Aloha Veterinary Care in support of Have A Nice Spay.
