GOOD CAT NETWORK TO EXPAND TRANSFER PROGRAM WITH $50,000 GRANT FROM THE NEUHOFF FAMILY FUND
January, 2026— Makawao, Hawaiʻi – Founded in 2021, Good Cat Network’s transfer program Operation Aloha Cat has been flying adoptable cats to shelter partners in the continental U.S. To date, the program has successfully transferred 1200 cats to their new loving homes.
With a $50,000 grant made by the Neuhoff Family Fund, Good Cat Network will be able to continue and expand Operation Aloha Cat in 2026.
“As a nonprofit whose transfer program has been relied on by the community for years, this grant will allow us to plan ahead and expand our reach.” said Darlene Rayhill, Executive Director of Good Cat Network. “We are focused on getting as many adoptable animals off island and into loving homes as we can, and believe that compassionate and ethical control of the cat population through transfers and spay and neuter is good for the cats, good for the rescuers, and really good for Maui’s ecosystem. Our efforts would not be possible without support from our donors, partners, and this generous lifesaving investment from The Neuhoff Family Fund.”
Good Cat Network will rename its transfer program to “Operation Aloha Cat – in honor of Louise H. Neuhoff” for the 2026 year.
